September is Save Your Photos Month! I am so excited to be doing an event for the 5th year in a row. It all started with a discussion at the 2014 APPO National Conference which lead to Save Your Photos Day and now Save Your Photos Month.
Are your photos safe? The Save Your Photos initiative is a public service outreach campaign developed by APPO to teach individuals how they can preserve life’s irreplaceable photos, videos, and documents, in case of an unforeseen accident or disaster. Protecting your photo and video collection could be the most important thing you do for your children and generations to come. Every year during the month of September, photo organizers, companies, and photo retailers work together to raise awareness and educate people about the benefits of safeguarding their photos
Save Your Photos Summit
The Association of Personal Photo Organizers is celebrating in a big way this year by digging into our training archives for tips and resources we’ve used to train and support professional photo organizers. We’ve also partnered with dozens of professional photo organizers who will share some of their tips and resources from their own archives. During the month of September, we’ll deliver photo organizing strategies, tips, and resources through a variety of media that includes:
Videos
Downloadable handouts & forms
Short e-books
